Tilley endurables LTM8 Airflo-mesh wide brim hat (pct thru-hike)
I had a strict list of must-have's for the hat that would take me 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada.
SUMMARY: When you buy a hat that is "made with Canadian Persnicketiness" you know it has to be good. I also used Tilley hats for my Long Trail hike, and for sailing and boating around Lake Ontario and have been very pleased with them. Buy a Tilley and you won't be disappointed. Weighing about 4.5 oz., it's not the lightest hat, but it's certainly a functional one.

- Lightweight and BREATHABLE - hiking under a blazing sun is hot work, and its hard to find a wide brim hat that isn't a sweat box
- COMFORTABLE - with Tilley's almost custom range of sizes offered, you can measure your head and be sure of a properly fitting hat
- DURABLE - sitting on it, losing it in mud, using it to push branches out of the way, and all this while sweating into it and having it been in dust and under the beating sun. No problem.
- WASHABLE - threw it in with all my nasty hiker clothing and it did just fine and dandy. Cleaned up every time, and stayed sexy.
